Job descriptionEvaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested. Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules Board certified or Board Eligible Active State of Michigan License or eligible to apply Successful completion of an ACGME approved residency Relocation Allowance Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, CME) CME Allowance Retirement Plan (403(b) Plan and 457 (b)) – with employer matching contributions available Life, Health, Dental and Vision Long Term, Short Term Disability Professional Liability Coverage w / Tail
Seeking a highly motivated, confident, and energetic full time Gastroenterologist to join our team
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a well established gastroenterology group. Must be Board Eligible / Board Certified in Gastroenterology, open to new fellows.
Position Highlights :
- General / Traditional Outpatient & Inpatient GI
- Full spectrum general adult gastroenterology (18 & older)
- Excellent opportunity to be busy right away (established patient volume exists)
- Strong primary care referral base
- APP support
- EUS available
- Office located 10 minutes from hospital
- Ambulatory Outpatient Care Center available 5 days per week for procedures
- Ambulatory Outpatient Procedures also available at Hospital weekly
- ERCP training is ideal, not required
