Certifications : Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Must-Have :

• Mandatory floating within the facility
• Must be able to float to various ICU units and possibly to medical / surgical units
• Weekend requirement : Every other weekend, 2 weekends per month
• Must abide by restrictive time-off policies

Description :

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit.

The shift will consist of three 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM.

All resources are required to float as needed within the facility.

ICU RNs will float between various ICU units, including Burn, CCU, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, and Neuro ICU.

If staffing needs arise, ICU RNs may be floated to medical-surgical units.

The first week will involve orientation and precepting on day shift.

A maximum of 5 days off will be allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days.

No time off will be permitted on holidays or the day before or after a holiday.

Floating may occur outside of the primary area of competency but will not exceed 50 miles.

Cancelation may occur if refusal to float happens.

Candidates are expected to respond promptly to all compliance requirements.

Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an assignment.

Failure to meet expectations may result in an inability to continue the assignment.
