The right Guest Transit Host checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
The Tram Driver and Conductor position is defined by various positions to include Tram Driver, Conductor and Crowd Control. The Tram Driver and Conductor is responsible for all aspects of assigned areas, to include safety, friendliness, cleanliness and line speed.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Greets Guests and initiates friendly interaction. Provides Guest excellence, which exceeds expectations
- Effectively uses empowerment to ensure Dollywood's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy is implemented
- Reacts calmly and quickly in stressful / emergency situations. Physically assist Guests throughout the area as required
- Effectively performs in the role of Tram Operator to include (but not limited to) :
Transports Guests via multi-unit conveyances in a safe and efficient manner
Visually observes surroundings and trailing cars for potential safety hazardsVisually observes Guest actions during operation to prevent safety hazardsCleans and organizes conveyance daily to present professional appearanceCommunicates calmly, clearly and professionally with Tram Conductor / Lot AttendantsMaintains a sense of urgency to reduce Guest wait timesEffectively performs in the role of Tram Conductor to include (but not limited to) :Visually observes trailing cars on multi-unit conveyances for potential safety hazards
Visually observes Guest actions during operation to prevent safety hazardsCommunicates calmly, clearly and professionally with Tram Conductor / Lot AttendantsCommunicates safety rules and scripted festival / general park information in a manner consistent with the values and mission of The Dollywood CompanyCompletes daily written reports and turn in any necessary paperwork to Parking PICOperates vehicles / work each position in all weather conditionsMaintains a sense of urgency toward area of operation to reduce Guest wait timeUses time productively to include sweeping, clearing cobwebs, straightening cones, and other similar itemsAssists with other areas in parking as needed / requested by ManagementWears and maintains a themed costume issued by DollywoodPerforms special projects as directed by ManagementAttends all required Training Classes and MeetingsComplies with safety and security directives, policies and procedures to ensure Hosts / Guests safety at all timesMaintains confidentiality at all timesFollows all safety standards to include reporting any violation of standardsManagement reserves the right to change and / or add to these duties at any time
Education and Experience Required
Must be at least 16 years of ageBasic computer skillsMay be required to provide a copy of personal driving record from home stateMust have less than three (3) traffic violations on record in the last three (3) yearsMust not have a DUI conviction in the past 15 years on recordApplicants for positions that involve driving Guests or Hosts must pass a physical that complies with DOT requirementsMust successfully complete a pre-employment offer a background check including motor vehicle and drug screenKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
