Position Summary
Under the oversight of the Regional Manager, this position is responsible for all daily functions of the assigned treatment facilities, including staff, clients, facility upkeep and needs, as well as licensure regulations. BHT Managers will provide supervisory functions as well as provide direct care with staff. BHT Dual Managers are responsible for two or more AGL facilities. This position is classified as Safety Sensitive.
This position has supervisory direct reports who oversee up to 12 employees.

- Identify the need for and request professional consultation from direct supervisor or Program Director as client and / or staff needs dictate.
- Follow and institute all AllThrive 365 and AGL policies and procedures.
- Participate in overall AGL policy development, strategic planning and management decision making.
- Participate in the Performance and Quality Improvement initiative at the agency and program level by learning about the initiative, offering input, suggesting performance improvements, and performing other PQI duties as requested.
- Initiate and follow through with growth opportunities and succession planning with direct reports.
- Provide support, encouragement, and assistance to BHTs in the performance of their duties.
- Assist in the development of and conduct required initial orientation and training for all direct care staff.
- Maintain staff’s annual educational and training requirements.
- Assist staff in meeting their required annual educational training.
- Assist staff in meeting their required monthly clinical oversight.
- Assist in problem solving with other BHT Managers and Dual Managers, BHTs and staff members when client care needs, schedules or staff require it.
- Provide on-call supervisory coverage on a rotating basis and / or as directed with other management staff.
- Maintain a complete daily coverage schedule (24 hours) for the facility.
Client Services / Care Delivery
Provides direct care services to clients and ensures staff are completing client services per personal care requirements, honoring clients’ rights, and providing active treatment per the client’s service plan and licensure requirements, with the goal of client discharge to a less restrictive setting, allowing the client for a higher level of independence.
Problem solves with clients and team members concerning daily care and service needs.Advocate for needed client services.Work cooperatively with clinical team to develop client ISP and Staffings.Serve as a liaison with clients and clinical team.Coordinate care with off-site programs and activities as necessary.Transport clients or assign designee to transport clients to regular and unscheduled medical or psychiatric appointments and conduct follow up to ensure changes in orders are communicated to appropriate clinical staff.Inform the Clinical Program Manager, supervisor and other contacts of any changes in client condition, medical orders as required by AGL Policy and Procedure.Responsible for the monitoring of self-administration of medication program in the facility which may include contacting the pharmacy, coordinating refills, and inputting medications in an electronic medical record (EMR).Administrative Duties
Responsible for the management of the facility budget, control of purchase cards, and petty cash funds for facility operations. Position requires the use of a company issued purchase card.Prepare current, accurate and complete reports of petty cash / purchasing card expenses as required by AGL Policy and Procedure.Maintain accurate staff time records.Develop and maintain backup and emergency coverage plans for the facility in coordination with the Regional Manager.Monitor AGL documentation including BHT daily notes, BHT group notes, case management notes and administrative documentation for compliance with AGL policy and procedure.Complete daily audits of client’s chart notes.Complete self-initiated QI checks of responsible facilities.Facility Upkeep
Report maintenance needs in a timely fashion and ensuring work order has been completed.Maintain a clean and organized facility.Ensure that facility follows all regulations.Miscellaneous
Participate in management / leadership / department development meetings as assigned.Other duties as assigned.Requirements
Education / Experience / Credentials / Knowledge / Understanding
High School Diploma or GED required.21 years or older.Valid AZ Driver's License and insurance, and available transportation within the community.Ability to drive AllThrive 365 vehicles and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable by AllThrive 365.Two years’ experience in behavioral field and one-year supervisory experienceMust be able to obtain Certified Caregiver Certification.Ability to communicate information necessary for quality program operations across all levels, including clients both orally and in writing.Must possess minimum skills and knowledge to perform essential job functions as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT).Must be able to accurately document client progress in the electronic medical record, according to policy and standards.Solid understanding of behavioral health diagnoses and symptoms.Personal qualities including strong leadership skills, Initiative, flexibility, acceptance of varied cultures and behavior, accountable, sound judgment, reliability, honest, personal sensitivity, and a passion for working with clients with SMI.Must be able to work independently as well as develop and supervise cohesive teams.Must be able to de-escalate volatile behavioral situations as they arise.Must have, or be able to obtain, Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through a background and fingerprint clearance through the Department of Public Safety.This position is classified as Safety Sensitive.Skills
