Key Responsibilities :
- Perform nursing duties such as implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and conducting necessary treatments and procedures while documenting accordingly.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to better understand patients' conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to the care provided.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment to manage patient care effectively.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Active NYS Registered Nurse license.Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).1–3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and a demonstrated ability to apply them effectively.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
