At Lensing Building Specialties and Architectural Sales our Architectural Sales Integration Department supplies, installs and services premier doors, hardware, life safety & security solutions to our commercial customers. We are local, Evansville based and the Tri-State's leading source for the total "opening" package.
The System Engineer is responsible for coordination of personnel and material for the installation of security / access control systems in our Evansville office. The System Engineer is responsible for budgeting, project scheduling, procurement, overseeing installation, the completion (or "close-out") process, and customer communication.
DUTIES
Project & Technical Management
- Coordinate personnel, materials, and scheduling for system installations.
- Oversee all project phases, including budgeting, procurement, installation, and close-out.
- Commission systems : ensure PC / server compliance, install and configure software, and perform system setup and testing.
- Provide front-line remote technical support for existing installations.
- Develop system designs, material lists, and labor estimates for new projects and system expansions.
- Create wiring diagrams and project documentation as needed.
- Ability to interpret and deliver on complex project specifications, compliant with industry standards
Collaboration & Communication
Project coordination of access control and CCTV projectsPartner with sales teams to contribute technical expertise during proposal development and bid preparation.Communicate effectively with clients, electrical trades, security system professionals, vendors and internal departments to ensure seamless project execution.Maintain and enforce project documentation standards (credentials, network information, system configurations, etc.) to enable first-class client support.Customer Support & Development
Provide outstanding customer relationships, in all phases of projects from sales & bid to install & post-installation.Follow up with customers to ensure quality and security resolve product design, deployment, and service support issuesResolve design, deployment, and service issues promptly and professionally.Assist in training and mentoring associates on new technologies and products.QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years' experience in electronic security design preferred, 1-3 years requiredWorking technical knowledge of security products, electronic security equipment and brandsKnowledgeable about aspects of card access control systems, alarm monitoring systems, CCTV, intercom systems, and electronic automation systemsExperience with IP-based camera systems, Networked-based architecture application design, Access Control Systems Sales, IT NetworkingExample of products / manufacturers that prior experience with is preferred : AXIS, Panasonic, Sony, Lenel, Identicard, AMAG, ExaqVision, S2,Experience with Site SurveysMicrosoft Office Skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, VisioGood Driving Record to meet company insurability standardsBENEFITS
