This role is highly technical and requires a security-first mindset, expertise in complex SSO integrations, and familiarity with modern DevOps / GitOps workflows.
You will be collaborating directly with business stakeholders, serving as a technical subject matter expert, and contributing to potential future migrations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Primary Responsibilities You will operate as a lead developer, focusing on high-performance, secure, and maintainable application development : Lead Full-Stack APEX Development : Lead the design, development, and deployment of Oracle APEX applications, emphasizing a security-first mindset and responsive design.
Database Engineering : Develop complex and efficient PL / SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
Expertly design and optimize database objects (tables, views, indexes, materialized views) for Oracle Database 12c / 19c+.
Authentication & Security Hardening : Implement and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication / authorization using Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and OCID.
Drive performance tuning, SQL / PLSQL optimization, and security hardening across all applications.
Integration & APIs : Integrate APEX applications with external systems using REST APIs, JSON / XML, AJAX, and JavaScript.
Modern DevOps / GitOps : Support and establish standards for modularity, reusability, and maintainability.
Utilize GitHub-based workflows and GitOps practices to improve automation and secure deployments.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate directly with business analysts in fast-paced, iterative, client-facing solution design sessions.
Production Support : Serve as an escalation point for complex production issues, with a specific focus on security-related incidents.
Required Basic Qualifications (6+ Years Experience is Mandatory) 6+ years of enterprise Oracle APEX development experience.
Expert proficiency in SQL and PL / SQL, with proven focus on secure, performant coding practices.
Deep functional and architectural knowledge of Oracle Database (12c / 19c or higher).
Extensive experience with advanced APEX components (Interactive Grids, REST-enabled SQL, dynamic actions, plug-ins).
Proven expertise with SSO integrations, specifically Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
Strong knowledge of application security frameworks, encryption, and compliance best practices (e.g., CIPA, FERPA).
High experience with GitHub, GitOps, and DevOps-driven automation.
Excellent client-facing communication skills for collaborative, iterative development.
Preferred Skills Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), particularly ExaCC.
Track record of performance tuning for complex, high-volume APEX applications.
Experience developing or extending custom APEX plug-ins.
