Security Officer - Mall Front Desk

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a bustling retail distribution center, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your role will include monitoring access, managing visitor logs, and utilizing technology to support security-related operations, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach in a dynamic retail environment.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $16.26 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeMon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PMFri 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, and / or customers at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence and addressing inquiries as needed.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs according to site-specific policies.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and the location's guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, and emergency personnel as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or access.
  • Support emergency response activities by following established procedures and assisting with coordination when necessary.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
