RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Work day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• Nurse to patient ratio : 2 : 1 for ICU patients and 4 : 1 for IMCU patients
• One year recent experience required
• Current Louisiana RN License or COMPACT required
• Current BLS via AHA required
• Current ACLS via AHA required
• Care for patients with DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator patients
• Work in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU environment
• EMR system : EPIC
• Block scheduling accommodation available with flexibility on days
• Temporary to permanent position possibility
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
• Complete organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation
• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide patient and family education
