Junior Foreman LOCATION : Connecticut

The Junior Foreman role is pivotal within our concrete construction projects. Primarily, the successful candidate will act as the right-hand person to the senior foreman or superintendent, ensuring smooth on-site operations. This position acts as a link between management and on-site workers, aiding in the communication of project goals and timelines.

Your Daily Responsibilities

This position has a variety of responsibilities that are essential to project success. The successful candidate will be assisting the senior foreman / superintendent with the following tasks :

  • Daily site operations and managing work crews
  • Ensuring that safety standards and procedures are adhered to daily
  • Coordinating and supervising work in various construction phases
  • Monitoring project timelines and ensuring that schedules are met
  • Conducting site inspections and resolving any on-site issues
  • Providing any hands-on work assistance as needed to accomplish production / schedule goals
  • Navigating conflict or obstacles with effective resolutions
  • Completion and submission of all required reports and receipts / documents
  • Ensuring the safe and appropriate use of equipment on job sites
  • Understanding project plans and specifications
  • Communication of project progress and status to stakeholders
  • Arranging of materials, verification of contents of inventory loads and maintaining awareness of location of suppliers and products in work areas
  • Producing work schedules, monitoring work time and efficiency
  • Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and procedures
  • Ensuring the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment; train as necessary
  • Ensuring proper construction following company standards and ensure adherence to job specifications

THE EXPERIENCE THAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum

  • 5 years well-rounded construction job site experience, preferably in a lead capacity, in concrete.
  • OSHA 10 construction certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Travel to project job sites
  • Skills

    To excel as a Junior Foreman, specific skills and qualifications are important. Essential skills include strong leadership capabilities, effective communication, and the ability to solve problems swiftly. The successful candidate will :

  • Have the ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others
  • Have strong knowledge of construction best practices, equipment maintenance and use, and OSHA guidelines
  • Demonstrate leadership and motivation on the job site.
  • Have the ability to complete required paperwork
  • Possess strong knowledge of commonly used construction concepts, practices, and procedures
