The Westin Palo Alto is currently seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our team. As a Front Desk Agent you will be the first point of contact for our hotel and responsible for providing personalized service to guests upon arrival during their stay and upon departure.
Responsibilities
- Promote hotel services facilities and anticipate guests needs to promote higher guest satisfaction
- Follow all emergency and safety guidelines to provide a safe and secure environment for guests and associates
- Greet all guests and provide parking guidance or transportation arrangements
- Check-in / check-out guests and assist with hotel reservations
- Assist with escorting guests to their room or other hotel areas as needed
- Deliver packages group amenity deliveries and any other item requested.
- Maintain hotel entrance clean and clear of congestion and report any safety matters to Maintenance.
- Manage multiple phone calls emails and requests
- Have constant communication with all hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction
Requirements
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of customer service experience in Hospitality or equivalentAbility to manage multiple tasks resolve conflicts with ease and communicate effectively with guests and associatesPossess comprehensive computer knowledge such composing e-mails drafting letters using Microsoft Office Outlook and knowing how to use search engines.Strong English business communication skills (verbal and written)Prolonged standing / walking / sitting for duration of the shift.Ability to walk around the hotel up and down stairs stoop kneel lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and push and pull approximately 100 lbs.Benefits
