Job Summary
Join our team as a Clinical Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in managing the daily operations of our clinics. This position offers you the opportunity to provide direct and indirect patient care while overseeing the clinical flow, supporting patients, families, physicians, and staff alike. You will be a key contributor in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating departmental growth and enhancements. Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other aspects of patient care, and manage clinical telephone communications.
Evaluate clinical staffing needs, maintain a master work schedule, adjust staffing levels, and forecast future needs.
Lead the orientation and ongoing training for clinical staff.
Develop, implement, and sustain emergency preparedness plans for clinical response.
Act as the main liaison between clinical staff and physicians, ensuring clear communication and teamwork.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives through incident reports and patient feedback; create programs that enhance patient satisfaction.
Stay updated with local, state, and federal regulations affecting operations, helping develop appropriate policies and procedures.
Coordinate with vendors for the service and repair of medical equipment, submitting proposals for approval.
Manage inventory levels of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals effectively.
Ensure compliance with DEA, DHEC, CLIA, and other regulatory requirements.
Oversee physicians' schedules to optimize patient care delivery.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Supervisory / Management Responsibilities
This position is non-management and will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education : Associate degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
Experience : Two (2) years of nursing experience in the specialty area.
In Lieu Of
In place of two (2) years nursing experience, one (1) year in the specialty area plus two (2) years as a non-RN clinical coordinator in a physician practice may be accepted.
One (1) year nursing experience and five (5) years of Medical Assistant experience can also be considered.
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
Must hold a current RN compact / multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or be licensed to practice as an RN.
CPR Certification is required.

Knowledge of patient equipment (Vitals, Suction, Defibrillator).

Understanding of professional nursing theory and practice.
Knowledge of Laboratory and X-ray equipment and procedures.
Skills in developing and maintaining quality improvement programs.
Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend solutions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
