Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospital, outpatient clinics. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians to deliver essential nursing services to patients of all ages, with a focus on their physical and emotional well-being.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention strategies.
- Participate in triage and emergency response situations as needed.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Support patients with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer's disease.
Skills
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas :
Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support.Strong clinical skills in areas such as IV infusion, medication administration, catheterization, phlebotomy, and specimen collection / processing.Familiarity with various healthcare settings, including acute care, long-term care, hospice care, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and home care.Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and physical examinations effectively.Experience working with patients requiring specialized care, such as those in ICU or Level I / II trauma centers.Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
