Job descriptionWork 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM with 3x12 schedule Must be comfortable working ALL PCU and MS units as a float nurse EPIC charting experience required Staffing needs re-evaluated every 4 hours - may float 2-3 times per shift (up to every 4 hours) May be required to float to CRCH to Inpatient Rehab PCU average patient ratio : 5 : 1 | MS average ratio : 6 : 1 (may flex up to 7 : 1) Weekend requirement : May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block Must work one holiday per 13-week contract Required certifications : ACLS, BLS Minimum 2 years of experience required Must be experienced in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration Skilled in central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support including nasal cannula, CPAP / BiPAP, and chest tubes Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, titrating cardiac drips Capable of managing PCA and heparin protocols, administering IV insulin Background must include telemetry and stepdown-level care (PCU / DOU / IMC) with cardiovascular experience 24-hour orientation provided Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Accept first-time travelers and pending licenses from non-compact states Referral bonus
