Supervisor, AP / AR - Grain Settlements

Summary

CHS Financial Shared Services is seeking an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Supervisor with a focus on Grain Settlements. In this role, you will lead the rail payment and CHS rail settlement team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions while driving operational efficiency. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days per week onsite at our Inver Grove Heights, MN location. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of AP / AR processes, and experience in grain or commodity settlements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead and coordinate the daily activities of a grain settlement team including work direction, performance management, coaching and development.
• Oversee timely and accurate invoicing and collection of money due to company.
• Analyze expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment, and ensure correct payments are made in a timely manner.
• Reconcile Acounts Payable / Accounts Receivable totals and balances to ensure supplier and customer ledgers remain current.
• Facilitate correct and timely preparation of cash flow, budget reports and purchase journals.
• Develop and monitor metrics and KPIs to ensure settlments are completed according to service level agreements.
• Act as second level escalation point for issues raised by the team.
• Monitor and report on changes in payment standards or issues that are causing delays in getting payments out.
• Ensure accounting procedures are correct and in compliance with all state and federal regulations, company policies and standard internal control requirements.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
