Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (PA RN license required)

BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience in a Med / Surg or acute care setting (2 years preferred)

Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Experience in travel nursing or rehabilitation hospital settings is a plus

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for Med / Surg patients

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards

Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees

Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record (EHR)

Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and contribute to patient rehabilitation programs

Initiate discharge planning and provide patient / family education from admission

Promote a safe environment by adhering to hospital safety policies and promptly reporting hazards

Provide calm direction and reassurance to staff, patients, and families

Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation

Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
