The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring efficient data entry for patient registration and insurance verification. Responsibilities :
- Demonstrate competence in OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in delivering exceptional medical services.
- Perform accurate data entry for patient accounts, including charges, registrations, and updates.
- Conduct insurance verifications and record important statistics.
- Support scheduling appointments, managing phone communications, and keeping providers informed of changes while informing patients about their benefits.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Job Requirements : Education / Skills :
High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.Experience :
Preferred : 1 year of experience in a medical office environment.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications :
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is mandatory.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Work Schedule :
8AM - 5PM, Monday to Friday
