Locums - Urologist - Dover, Delaware, Area (IMLC Accepted) Start Date : December 2025Duration : Through January 2027Type : Call Coverage

Position Overview

  • Coverage Dates :
  • 2025 :
  • December 23 (5 PM) - December 26 (7 AM)
  • 2026 :
  • May 14, 15, 16, 17 end May 18 (ends 7am on May 18)
  • July 2-6 (end 7 AM July 6)
  • September 4-8 (end 7 AM September 8)
  • December 24-28 (end 7 AM December 28)
  • December 31 - January 4 (end 7 AM January 4, 2027)
  • Priority Coverage : December 23 week at Kent and Sussex; remaining 2026 dates in Sussex
  • Schedule : 24-hour call shifts (5 PM - 7 AM)
  • Setting : Inpatient - Level III Trauma Center
  • Reason for Coverage : Call coverage gaps
  • FTE Needed : 1.0 (Shift-based coverage)
  • EMR System : Epic Clinical Expectations

Patient Volume :

  • 2-5 inpatient consults per day
  • 1-2 OR cases per day
  • Common Consults :
  • Urinary retention
  • Complicated Foley catheter placement (urology cart with disposable cystoscope)
  • UTIs and gross hematuria
  • Kidney stones
  • Common Procedures :
  • Obstructing stone management
  • Clot evacuations
  • Support Staff :
  • Urology does not admit patients (Hospitalists handle admissions)
  • General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, IR, and OB / GYN available Requirements

    • Board Certification : Urology - Required

  • License : Active Delaware License or IMLC Accepted
  • Vaccinations : Influenza (or must wear mask)
  • Credentialing Timeframe : 60 Days
