Greenberg-Larraby, Inc. (GLI) is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Hospital Health Aide to join our team in providing essential support to patients and healthcare staff within the hospital setting. In this role, you will assist with the daily activities of patients, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need.

We are hiring multiple Health Aides to support individuals in a structured residential behavioral health treatment program in Bonham, TX. This role provides compassionate support to adults in recovery, ensuring a safe, therapeutic living environment while they work toward independence.

You will be part of a team that provides 24 / 7 supervision and engagement while monitoring care needs and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with behavioral health or recovery program experience who are seeking meaningful work helping others.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor residents’ safety, behavior, and engagement throughout the facility
  • Perform rounding every 2 hours and document observations
  • Assist with admission, orientation, and discharge processes
  • Lead or assist with therapeutic and recreational activities
  • Escort residents to appointments or unit activities
  • Support residents coping with substance use, mental health challenges, or daily routines
  • Communicate behavioral or health changes to clinical staff promptly
  • Follow infection control, privacy, and safety procedures
  • Record basic data in facility systems as required
  • Maintain professional boundaries and promote a positive recovery environment

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification (or willingness to obtain before start)
  • 1+ year experience in direct patient care, behavioral health, or residential support
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled (We do have different shifts available; however, Full time is needed.
  • Strong communication & observation skills
  • Ability to safely support residents in crisis situations
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold a Green Card.
  • Requirements

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support patients in mobility and transportation within the hospital.
  • Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient rooms and common areas.
  • Help with the preparation and distribution of meals and snacks, ensuring adherence to dietary restrictions.
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant or similar qualification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to follow instructions, protocols, and safety practices.
  • Must be able to lift and move patients as necessary.
