Position Summary :
TheSupervisor, Payrollisresponsible forproviding payroll deliveryexpertisethat provides a service that meets current and future needsofJetBlue's26,000 U.S.-based crewmembers.The Supervisor,Payrollis responsible forthe day-to-day operations in the Payroll Department and ensures payrolls arecompliant,accurate,risk adverseandtimely. The Supervisorisresponsible foroverseeing a team ofcrewmembersand co-managing / partnering withthree (3)Payroll Supervisors.
Essential Responsibilities
Manage the processing of end-to-end payroll processesincludingreviewing team checklists and files for completeness includingelectronic time clock datamanagement
Manage the day-to-day BAU activities of payroll specialists includingthe hotline, ticketingsystemand e-mail responses
Lead and mentor a team of payroll specialists across multiple locations, providing guidance, and leadership to ensure operational excellence
Review semi-monthly and weekly U.S.Domestic payrolls before final close of each payrollin accordance withSarbanes-Oxley(SOX) compliance
Demonstrates knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, financial,regulatoryand internal controls, governance, riskmanagementandcrewmemberpolicy, including IRS / requirements and other important payroll submissions
Manage payroll specialists to ensure all payments / files are processed in a controlled fashion whilst adhering to deadlines
Managing up and pull in subject matter specialist resources whenrequiredfor conversations or deliverable creation purposes
Ensure the payroll serviceremainscompliant with all relevant requirements, including controls, JetBlue policies, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs),regulationsand legislation
Support thePayroll Transformation & Projects Team with theimplementation of projects and change affecting thePayrollteam, processes, and systems, ensuring no / minimal disruption to service
Ensuretimelyresolutionofescalated or complex issues, requests for exceptions to standard processes,service delivery issues
Ensure thatRisk Events or Issues are promptly reported to the Payroll Manager
Liaise with working groups to agreefile timelines & and formats to supportcompensation programs
Able to handle sensitive information andmaintaina high levelof confidentiality
Demonstrate a clear set of leadership behaviors to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver to a consistently excellent standard
Assist Payroll Manager with ad hoc projects
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Associate's degree;ORdemonstratedcapability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma / GED and at leasttwo(2) years ofpreviousrelated work experience
Three(3) years of payroll experience
Two years (2)ofmanagement experience
Ability tomultitask and work autonomously
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including workingadditionalhours as necessary
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Available for overnight travel (10%)
Mustpassa pre-employment drug test
Must belegallyeligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US isrequired. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Three (3) years ofSAP Payrollexperience (in-house)
Four (4) years of payroll experience
Proficientwith Snowflake or related technologies
Understanding of multi-state tax law
Certified Professional Payroll Certification (CPP)
Automatic Data Processing (ADP) tax provider experience
Previousairline industry experience
Bi-lingual (preferably Spanish)

Potential need to workflexible hours and be able to respond on short notice
Abletomaintaina professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if timepermits, all capablecrewmembersare asked toassistwith light cleaning of theaircraft

Compensation :
The base pay range for this position is between$95,000.00and$105,000.00per year. Base pay is onecomponentof JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
