Job descriptionFunction independently within a team environment to deliver comprehensive outpatient hematology / oncology care Manage both new patient consultations and follow-up appointments Counsel and educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and symptom management Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in electronic medical records At least one year of hematology / oncology experience is preferred, but strong candidates with a passion for the field will be considered Must hold a valid and unrestricted California PA license Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current National Board Certification (PA-C) Current BLS certification Furnishing license required DEA license must be obtained within 3 months of starting Demonstrated advanced clinical judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking a Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant for a 260-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Nov 3, 2025. This opportunity features day shifts, Monday through Friday, in an outpatient setting, providing both new patient consultations and follow-up care as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
