Family Support Specialist

The Family Support Specialist role initiates and maintains regular and long-term contact / support with families, primarily occurring in the family's home. Interventions will be family-centered and strength-based and directed at establishing a trusting relationship and strengthening the parent-child relationship. You will be assisting parents in improving their skills to optimize the home environment, improving the family support system, and increasing the family's ability to problem solve and assume the role of advocate for themselves and their children. This position will be located in Mountain Home, AR.

Conditions of Employment :

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Have an active and unhindered Driver's License with personal reliable transportation. Successfully pass Criminal Background including FBI fingerprint and Child Maltreatment checks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Occasional lifting and moving of general office equipment, furniture, and project materials. Long periods of sitting, reading, keyboarding alternating with long periods of standing. Frequent driving within the 6-county service area with occasional out-of-area functions / training.
