Your Role at Baxter

Do you have experience developing and owning the Medical Affairs strategy in an Acute Care, surgical, or medical setting? At Baxter, you will lead the medical component of the Patient Support Systems (PSS) business strategies driving execution.

Your medical expertise and clinical input will impact commercial and marketing strategies and your mentorship / governance to therapeutic area will ensure support of products and clinical modalities.

Your Team

You will establish and maintain relationships with medical professionals, researchers, coordinators, payor groups, and other members of the scientific community. Through these partnerships you will identify & communicate key research and scientific intelligence to internal teams.

The unbiased, evidence-based approach combined with proven scientific credibility positions this role as the key Baxter medical and scientific resource for opinion leaders and a trusted resource for internal teams.

What you'll be doing

• Identify, establish, and maintain scientific peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) by partnering with them on quality scientific projects, presenting balanced scientific data, designing advanced medical educational forums and providing scientific support in the development of clinical publications.
• Conduct field data collection projects, patient pilot programs, clinical evaluations and conduct baseline assessment identifying gaps in workflow and practices that may impact patient outcomes
• Share knowledge through Accredited and Non accredited educational presentations, podium presentations and poster presentations
• Design / chair and support advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings and organize and chair roundtable and educational meetings as needed.
• Attend and provide scientific support at R&D exhibits and scientific sessions at medical conferences. Identify and communicate new scientific findings that could impact the product portfolio.
• Develop long-term strategic plans and Medical Affairs Plans including PSS Products portfolio.
• Maintain medical & scientific partnership with Global HST medical affairs organizations.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $80,000 to $180,000 plus an annual incentive bonus, commission target, and equity target (strike any, if not applicable). The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills / experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic / office location.
