A high-impact opportunity is available for a seasoned Account Director Chemical Engineering to drive strategic account growth, business development, and client success across the chemical, oil & gas, and process manufacturing sectors .
This role is ideal for a technically savvy professional with strong commercial instincts and a proven ability to manage and grow complex engineering service accountsincluding greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects , EPC partnerships, and digital enablement in operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Relationship Management : Serve as the primary liaison for key chemical industry clients, fostering long-term partnerships and high customer satisfaction.
- Business Development : Drive new revenue by identifying and closing opportunities within chemical processing, refining, and energy sectors.
- Strategic Consulting : Align engineering services with client business goals, operational strategies, and compliance requirements.
- Project Oversight : Collaborate with internal engineering and delivery teams to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
- Account Growth : Expand existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and white-space analysis across CAPEX, MRO, and digital initiatives.
- Revenue & Pipeline Management : Oversee account health through effective forecasting, billing, collections, and performance tracking.
- Market Insight : Monitor industry trends, competitive positioning, and client needs to offer proactive and value-added solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile :
Experience & Industry Knowledge :
15+ years of experience in engineering service sales or strategic account management within chemical, oil & gas, or process industries.Strong background in Chemical Engineering , Process Plant Engineering , or similar technical disciplines.Familiarity with major EPC partners (e.g., Worley, Wood, Fluor ) and capital project life cycles.Proven experience supporting both greenfield and brownfield industrial facility projects.Sales & Strategic Capabilities :
Demonstrated success selling engineering services (not products) to industrial clients.Skilled in negotiating contracts, presenting proposals, and influencing C-suite stakeholders.Ability to translate client needs into actionable technical scopes and long-term strategic plans.Technical & Digital Fluency :
Understanding of operational technologies such as instrumentation, control systems , and asset management platforms is a plus.Experience working within or alongside onsite / offshore engineering delivery models .Education & Requirements :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering , Process Engineering , or a related discipline.Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills.Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and business development efforts.Why This Role?
