Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Sonographer for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring ARDMS and BLS certifications and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in an acute care ultrasound department
  • Average caseload of 15-18 exams per 12-hour day shift
  • Day shifts with weekends scheduled as needed
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Returning travelers or employees must have a two-year break before reapplying if previously employed at any related institution
  • Travelers cannot work within the system for longer than one cumulative year without a subsequent two-year break
  • No local travelers are accepted within a 50-mile radius
  • Compliance with any required pass / fail testing as applicable
  • All candidates will interview directly with a manager
  • Weekend coverage may be required as scheduled

    • Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of sonography experience required
  • Current ARDMS certification required (any version accepted)
  • BLS certification from AHA required
  • Experience using Epic EMR preferred
  • License required if applicable
