Data Engineer (Contract) – Sports Tech & Entertainment | NYC (Hybrid)

6 month contract (option for extention)

New York, NY

$55-75 / hr (Negotiable, depends on experience)

We’re seeking a Data Engineer to support our Customer Experience team at a leading sports tech and entertainment company. This role will focus on modernizing and optimizing existing data workflows as we transition from Redshift to Databricks.

Minimum Qualifications :

2+ years enterprise experience
Strong proficiency in SQL , Python , and SOQL
Hands-on experience with Redshift , Databricks , and DataGrip
Familiarity with Salesforce and Tableau
Experience building or modernizing analytics workflows in Databricks

Responsibilities :

Modify and rebuild existing data pipelines and workflows from Redshift to Databricks.

Support pre-processing of Salesforce data into structures for Tableau dashboards & adhoc analytics initiatives

Analyze existing workflows to identify opportunities for consolidation and optimization

Enhance performance and scalability by leveraging Databricks best practices

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements

Identify and prioritize dependencies on data sources not yet migrated to Databricks
