Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, providing care for a diverse, complex patient population, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Patients experiencing hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery cases, alongside medical overflow situations.Be part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) and experience cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques and care.

Utilize the nursing process to assess and meet patient needs, while maintaining therapeutic relationships.Recognize significant patient condition changes and take appropriate actions.Implement patient safety strategies and ensure readiness to learn for patients and families.Actively coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care processes.Demonstrate leadership within care teams and promote inter-professional collaboration.Essential Qualifications :
Registered Nurse license from the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.Completion of an accredited nursing program.Typically, 1 year of clinical nursing experience is preferred.Required Skills :
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.Capacity to work collaboratively and take initiative.Physical Requirements :
