About The Position

We are

seeking an experienced Locums Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to provide

newborn call coverage in a hospital setting in Marion, NC. This role is ideal

for a provider with strong neonatal experience who is comfortable handling

deliveries, newborn resuscitations, and performing procedures such as

circumcisions.

This

position requires a dedicated and responsive provider to ensure high-quality

care for newborns and support to the OB team.

No New Grads.

Assignment

Details

Coverage Dates :

• November 26 – 29
• December 24 – 25

Shift Schedule : 24-hour

coverage (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 AM)

Call Type : Newborn call

coverage, response required if requested by OB provider

Practice Setting : Inpatient,

hospital-based

Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour newborn call

coverage, including in-person response when needed

Attend and assist with

deliveries, including newborn resuscitation

Perform newborn assessments,

rounds, and consultations

Perform procedures such as

circumcisions

Manage phone calls related to

newborn care and provide guidance to hospital staff

Collaborate closely with OB

providers and the care team to ensure safe, high-quality neonatal care

Document all patient interactions

and care plans accurately

Requirements

Certification :

Board Certified Pediatric Nurse

Practitioner (PNP)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation

Program) certified

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life

Support) certified

Licensure :

Active North Carolina (NC)

medical license – no exceptions

Experience :

Prior experience with newborn

care and call coverage required

Competency in circumcisions,

neonatal resuscitation, and delivery room response
