Shipping Clerk : Montgomery, Illinois

Our customer in Montgomery, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Shipping Clerks to work full-time on 1st shift . As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for coordinating daily shipments, preparing and verifying shipping documentation, and ensuring products are shipped accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk :

• Prepare and complete all required shipping paperwork, including bills of lading, packing lists, and labels.
• Coordinate and schedule daily outbound shipments with various carriers (LTL, truckload, UPS, FedEx, etc.).
• Verify that orders are packaged, labeled, and loaded according to company and customer specifications.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure correct quantities, part numbers, and overall quality.
• Schedule carrier pickups and monitor delivery timelines to meet customer requirements.
• Safely operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move materials and load / unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain accurate shipping data within ERP or inventory systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve shipping or delivery issues.
• Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and material tracking.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Provide support to the receiving department when required.

Shipping Clerk Requirements and Qualifications :

Pay for Shipping Clerk : $21.00 per hour

Shipping Clerk Benefits :

Type : 1s Schedule : Monday – Sunday, 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM, plus three Saturdays a month 6-hour shift.
