Overview :
The Financial Planning Associate is a key member of our Financial Planning team, responsible for supporting financial advisors in delivering a high-quality, personalized planning experience to clients. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning, this individual will collaborate closely with experienced advisors and planners across assigned market locations. The role includes preparing comprehensive financial plans, assisting with strategy implementation, supporting client reviews, and managing financial planning technology platforms.
This position is ideal for a motivated professional who is analytical, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with financial advisors to prepare customized, holistic financial plans and client reports.
- Support the implementation of financial planning recommendations including retirement, education, tax, estate, and risk management strategies.
- Attend client and prospect meetings as needed; capture detailed notes and support follow-up tasks.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for financial planning software platforms including eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan, Nitrogen (formerly Riskalyze), and Wealth.com.
- Manage client data entry, updates, and scenario analysis within planning software tools.
- Assist in preparing and scheduling client review meetings, ensuring documentation and reporting are complete and accurate.
- Provide outstanding service and follow-up to clients throughout the financial planning process.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes, financial planning strategies, and industry trends.
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards in handling sensitive client data.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, or related field.Minimum 1–3 years of experience in the financial services industry, with direct exposure to financial planning preferred.CFP® certification required or must be obtained within 18 months of hire.Series 65 license required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.Proficiency in financial planning platforms : eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan, Nitrogen, and Wealth.com strongly preferred.Familiarity with custodians (e.g., Charles Schwab) and technology platforms (e.g., Orion, Salesforce, Google Workspace) is a plus.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present effectively to clients and senior leadership.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and continuous learning.Our Commitment to Excellence :
