Unit Overview : Be part of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , providing care to diverse and complex patients, including :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Patients involved in our Comprehensive Stroke Program.A high volume of spinal surgery patients and medical overflow cases.What You'll Do :
Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for safe and compassionate care.Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking for optimal outcomes.Enhance patient experience throughout their care journey.Why Join Us?

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate individualized patient care.Recognize and act on significant patient condition changes.Implement strategies for patient safety and risk reduction.Coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning.Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes regularly.Demonstrate effective communication and leadership skills in patient care.Promote a culture of safety, reporting any patient safety events promptly.Make ethical decisions and respect for peers while providing unbiased care.Participate in quality improvement initiatives.Engage in professional development and mentorship opportunities.Ensure knowledge of age-specific patient care needs.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license from the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.Education Required :
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.Experience Required :
Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Ability to provide holistic care focused on patient and family needs.Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong decision-making and organizational skills.Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration abilities.Physical Requirements :
