Seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient psychiatric services to a diverse population in Rutland, Vermont.\n\nDetails : \n

• 1-2 years' experience required\n
• Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner must be APRN-BC\n
• Must enjoy working with a dedicated team of highly motivated professionals who are committed to providing an integrative, community-based approach to care\n
• You will be involved in diagnosing, treatment and prevention of behavioral health disorders\n
• Our medical staff work with a team of case managers, therapists and support staff to ensure the best possible outcome for our patients\n
• Certified Level III Medical Homes with advanced panel and case management systems\n
• Fully integrated EMR and practice management system with robust interfaces to our local hospital\n\nResponsibilities : \n
• Examine patients to obtain information about their physical and / or psychological condition\n
• Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal\n
• Make diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients\n
• Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical or psychological examination\n
• Document patient / provider interactions according to Medical Staff policies and procedures\n
• Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests\n
• Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval\n
• Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and infection management\n
• Instruct and counsel patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance\n
• Provide physicians with assistance during surgery or medical procedures\n
• May supervise and coordinate activities of technicians and technical assistants or provide appropriate coverage in other areas\n
• Communicate with referral sources\n
• Other duties as necessary to support the operation of an outpatient psychology clinic\n
• Facilitate referral to alternative or additional providers as clinically appropriate\n
