Job descriptionClinical operations , ensuring excellence in trauma, emergency general surgery, burns, and critical care Education and training for faculty, residents, Advanced Practice Providers, and medical students Research and academic initiatives , fostering growth and innovation in the field Strategic development , working with the Chair and institutional leadership to expand MetroHealths trauma presence regionally and nationally 18 full-time faculty supported by Advanced Practice Providers, residents, and medical students 12,000+ trauma activations annually , with 2,000+ trauma admissions to the Level I center Partnerships with three affiliated hospitals to enhance trauma care across the region Board certification in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Ohio 7+ years of experience post‑training preferred Strong clinical research background and a national presence in the field Eligible for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level at Case Western Reserve University Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and a culture of mutual respect Lakefront city with multi‑season recreational activities Second‑largest theater district in the U.S. , featuring Playhouse Square Thriving restaurant scene and family‑friendly neighborhoods Home to major sports teams : Browns (NFL), Guardians (MLB), and Cavaliers (NBA)

The Department of Surgery at MetroHealth System, a Case Western Reserve University affiliate, is seeking applications for the position of Division Director for the Division of Trauma, Critical Care, Burns, and Emergency General Surgery.

- American College of Surgeons‑verified Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
