The Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) will report to the facility Lead Maintenance Technician. This
individual is responsible for all building, grounds, and equipment maintenance necessary to keep the
entire facility at a peak operational state. This will encompass the development and implementation of a robust program to address all of the organization's maintenance requirements as they pertain to physical facilities and production equipment, including performing and / or managing the work associated with :
- preventative maintenance programs
- Analysis of mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Ensuring projects are completed within the scope of the maintenance department.
The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for following all Federal, State, and Local safety guidelines as well as all food safety guidelines.
Responsible for ensuring that maintenance activities and preventative maintenance are completed to meet the company's Food Safety, Quality & Legal requirements.Making sure that employees work safely and are properly trained.Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.Manage parts and ordering of supplies needed to ensure the plant runs continually for production needsResponsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic / hydraulic, and related systems and equipmentUtilize problem-solving skills to ensure installations, services, and repairs are completed to minimize production disruptions.Responsible for creating a Preventive Maintenance Plan and Parts Reorder Schedule, and any supporting documentation needed to regularly follow this plan.Requirements :
Essential Functions of the Position
Ability to be in high or low temperatures, and atmospheric conditions for intermittent lengths of time
throughout the facility
Will be required to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to have visual acuity to evaluate operations in low light and in tight quarters
Must be able to verbally communicate with employees and customers as well as respond to verbal
communication from others
Able to use a computer and computer soware and demonstrate basic math and problem-solving
skills
Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds and ability to twist, bend, and reach if necessary
