Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to provide exceptional administrative and operational support to a designated group of BID sales this role you will serve as a key resource for sales representatives customers and internal partners ensuring seamless order management outstanding service and timely resolution of inquiries. This position requires strong problem-solving skills impeccable accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A day in the Life :

  • Manage all administrative functions for assigned BID sales teams including :
  • Order entry

  • Complaint resolution
  • Backorder and open order management including proactive customer communication and alternative SKU recommendations
  • Quote and order research and resolution
  • Acting as liaison between sales / customers and internal teams such as Triage Ecom B2B CAM Product Management Technical Support Customs Credit & Collections Service Price Maintenance and other divisions
  • New representative onboarding
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming telephone and email inquiries and orders from Sales Representatives.
  • Proactively organize and lead internal and external conference calls via WebEx to address and resolve customer or sales-related issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to support front-line sales representatives in their daily activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company and departmental goals and performance standards.
  • Prepare and provide all necessary documentation required to meet shipping and compliance requirements (e.g. Material Safety Data Sheets Certificates of Analysis custom order documentation).
  • Keys to Success : Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a scientific field preferred.
  • Experience

  • 2 years of related customer service experience including order entry systems and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated judgment tact and diplomacy when interacting with internal and external stakeholders; ability to handle confidential or proprietary information.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working on complex assignments requiring strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills initiative and a positive proactive attitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong working knowledge of systems and tools relevant to Customer Service and Sales Operations.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours as needed; some holiday coverage may be required.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $20.93$31.40.

    This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and / or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on which includes :
