Travel CT Tech - $2,746 per week in Amarillo, TX

Job Title : Technologist Profession : Healthcare Specialty : Computed Tomography (CT) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift Hours per Shift : 8 hours Experience : At least 1 year of CT experience License : Texas Medical Board (TMB) License required Certifications : ARRT Certified required Must-Have : Competent in X-ray required Description : Must live 100 miles away. Position involves rotating between multiple facilities. Traveler will perform CT, X-rays, and Point of Care Lab. Shift time is 7 AM to 7 PM on designated days. Work schedule includes SUN, WED, THU one week; M, TUE, F, SAT the next week, then repeat. On-call duties are required, with 3 to 4 shifts per month. Ability to operate Computed Tomography (CT) and radiographic equipment and processors is necessary. Analyzing body habitus to correctly adjust technical factors is required. Positioning the body correctly and reviewing physicians' orders is essential for high-quality radiographs. Obtaining pertinent clinical data to consistently reduce unnecessary radiation to patients and self is vital. Assisting physicians during procedures, including room preparation and handling supplies, is expected. Ability to handle contrast reactions and respond to codes is necessary. Must be capable of scheduling and completing exams and entering correct charge codes.
