BJC HealthCare is now hiring a Full-time Radiology Technologist at our Alton Memorial Hospital location. Position Details : Sign-on Bonus $2,500 (for eligible applicants) 10 hour shifts, 3 days per week 7 : 00am to 5 : 00pm Monday, Tuesday, Friday Every 8th Weekend Required (7 : 00am to 3 : 00pm) Call rotation offered but not required Benefits Eligible Overview Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more. The Radiology department is equipped with CR and PACs technology to do general radiology in the department, as well as within the ED, OR and hospital floors. Digital Mammography (such as screenings, diagnostic work-ups, stereotactic breast biopsies, plus Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and / or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and / or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders Responsibilities Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism. Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
