Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and QuickBooks to contribute to a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities :

• Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying, coding, and entering invoices accurately.
• Manage accounts receivable records by tracking and reconciling incoming payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Utilize QuickBooks software to maintain and update accounting information.
• Review invoices to ensure proper coding and adherence to company policies.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation as required.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.
• Maintain organized and comprehensive financial records for auditing purposes.
• Provide support for month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to address inquiries and concerns.
