Clinical Geneticist - Section Head

Cohen Children’s Medical Center , the major pediatric teaching hospital of The Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell, is seeking a Board Eligible / Board Certified Clinical Geneticist to join our Division of Medical Genetics and Human Genomics.

Our team is comprised of clinical and biochemical geneticists, genetic counselors, genetic counselor assistants, nurse practitioners, social workers, dieticians, research scientists, and bioinformaticians. We offer numerous opportunities to contribute to the care of patients, the advancement of science, and the education of the next generation of Genetics professionals. We are rapidly expanding our outpatient and inpatient clinical genetics / genomics programs.

The successful candidate will be either a clinician or physician scientist dedicated to a career in academic medicine. Academic appointments will be commensurate with credentials and experience. We are seeking a mid-to senior-range faculty member who can head up our clinical genetics and inpatient section, mentor junior faculty and help to establish a Medical Genetics Residency Program.
