At CONMED a Finishing Technician I is primarily responsible for producing parts that meet cosmetic requirements and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Operate Bead Blast Operations.
- Operate centrifugal finishing equipment.
- Operate Vibratory finishing equipment.
- Operate buffing equipment.
- Plug and mask parts per print for all mechanical and chemical finishing operations.
- Perform weighing and measuring operations to maintain bath concentrations as instructed and basic maintenance on all equipment.
- Perform Equipment PMs
- Ability to produce parts with Zero defects
- Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions and procedures
Required Qualifications :
Minimum of one year of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment specifically in finishing and / or coating processes.Other Attributes :
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Willingness to work with materials / chemicals used in the manufacturing process.Ability to learn and become proficient in :Metals finishing / plating
Reading instructions schematics and blueprintsOperating various types of production equipmentUsing gauges and other measurement toolsCommitment to follow all metals finishing and plating procedures.Ability to operate equipment safely without causing injury or damage.Willingness and ability to :Work scheduled overtime
Rotate through various manufacturing processes in a team environmentReliable and predictable availability to perform duties at the assigned work site and start time.Ability to function in a high-performance work team environment.Sustain and maintain 5S standards and support continuous improvement activities.Operate wastewater handling equipment according to instructions.Operate chemical finishing operations such as :Type II passivationClear coat anodizeHard coat anodizeAbility to work at established production rates.Good hand / eye coordination and manual dexterity.Basic computer skillsPhysical requirements :
Work at a bench height of 37.5 to 42Stand for up to eight hours per dayMove about bend stoop use hands and lift up to 25 pounds unassistedVisual acuity of at least 20 / 40 in each eye (corrected or uncorrected) and ability to distinguish colors.This position is not eligible for employer-based visa sponsorship.
