We are looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist I for our General Specialty PMs team. At Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care in our state-of-the-art operating rooms. Your Responsibilities Include :
- Creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient surgical environment to ensure optimal patient care.
- Utilizing aseptic surgical techniques to prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Set up operating room settings efficiently, managing various types of equipment such as tables and instruments.
- Functioning as a Second Assistant when necessary, contributing to the surgical team's success.
- Transporting patients and supplies, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
- Maintaining a specialty cart, checking equipment conditions and ensuring the availability of sterile items.
- Demonstrating knowledge of patient care across all age groups, adapting to their specific needs.
Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.No prior experience required; we welcome new graduates!Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is needed within 6 months of employment.Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.Excellent customer service skills and basic computer proficiency.Your Work Schedule :
This is a full-time position offering evening shifts (8 or 10 hours), along with some on-call responsibilities. Be prepared to respond within 30 minutes when on call.
Benefits :
