Must be eligible to work in the US. Unable to provide sponsorship at this time.

  • 2 years of subcontractor PE or APM experience.
  • Experience with RFI's, Submittals, Change Orders, Project Schedules, Site Meetings, and Material Tracking.
  • Must be local or willing to relocate to Richmond area

An Assistant Electrical Project Manager with at least one of the following :

Experience working with a self-performing contractor

Construction experience in a multi trade environment

A professional with experience performing the following tasks :

Assist in the management of projects to ensure that work is completed as scheduled, within the established project budget, at a high level of quality, and in compliance with the contract.

Participate in monthly financial reviews detailing cash flow, billing, net financial position, change order progress, project risks, etc.

Willingness or interest in developing Electrical Estimating skills.

Participate in site visits to identify, document, and communicate issues related to scope changes, schedule conflicts, material shortages, manpower adjustment, quality control, safety, etc.

Assist in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process starting with the estimate, moving through 3D coordination, to prefabrication and site delivery, culminating in field installation.

Ability to quickly anticipate, identify, analyze, and resolve problems

Ability to read and understand schedules for use in responsible planning and management exercises

Ability to quantify, compile, and submit change orders.

Ensure the effective and timely management of the RFI process

Assist in quantity tracking for self-performed and subcontracted scopes.

Support project closeout, punch list completion, record drawings, and demobilization.

Participate in a culture of continuous learning, training, and skill development.

Review and interpret blueprints / shop drawings and other project documents

Learn the scope of work / responsibilities of other trades at project site

Implement corporate safety policies on the job site

Possess a willingness to work onsite five days a week when necessary

Attend project meetings and activities taking notes at the discretion of the PM

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or (5) years of related field experience

Strong understanding of percentage of completion and financial reporting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong leadership skills

Experience using Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and / or Accubid

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
