Summary :
Join our team as an Occupational Therapist, where you will provide vital occupational therapy services to help patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life. You will evaluate patients, set achievable goals, and create effective treatment plans based on physician orders, ensuring you maintain accurate records and notes. You will also play a key role in directing technicians and support personnel, as well as participating in education programs that align with the values and policies of our facility.
Responsibilities :
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude in alignment with departmental policies and procedures.
- Deliver patient care services aimed at restoring maximum independence, following ethical standards for occupational therapy practice.
- Apply clinical competencies in occupational therapy to enhance the quality of patient care.
- Engage in effective communication within and between departments to support the overarching goals of the organization.
- Maintain timely records and documentation as outlined in departmental guidelines.
- Contribute to the enhancement of occupational therapy services through active participation in departmental initiatives.
- Take part in peer reviews and case record evaluations as needed to ensure quality care.
- Ensure the safety, proper operation, and maintenance of therapeutic equipment.
Requirements : Education / Skills :
Proficiency in basic computer skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program.Experience :
Open to new graduates as well as those with any level of experience in occupational therapy.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications :
Current licensure / registration / certification in Texas, with proof of compliance provided to the hospital.BCLS certification required.Work Schedule :
