Job description

Opelousas General Health System  is seeking a dedicated full-time Rheumatologist  to join our skilled team! Residents / Fellows are encouraged to apply!

Employed Physician Incentives :

  • Malpractice- Paid by Hospital
  • CME Allowance ($4,000 / year)
  • 30 Days of Paid Time Off, 5 days of Extended Illness Time and 5 CME days per year
  • Retirement - 3 components
  • 457b-tax deferred
  • Social Security Replacement (7.65% of Physician's Salary)
  • Hospital Contributes 5% of Physician's Salary into Retirement Account
  • Health Benefits- 1st of the month following start date.

Position Highlights :

  • Employed Position with Community Health System
  • Clinic schedule : Monday-Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-12
  • No Call Required
  • Outpatient Infusion Center
  • Telemedicine Support
  • NP Available
  • Adequate time off with family
  • Located near Lafayette, LA in Sportsman's Paradise (lots of hunting, fishing, football) in addition to arts, music, culture and amazing Cajun Cuisine
  • Located 2 hours from New Orleans; 3 hours from Houston
  • 30 minutes to Lafayette Airport (Direct flights to Dallas, Houston, Atlanta & Charlotte)
