Your Impactful Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily operations in the Cardiac Cath Lab, focusing on patient scheduling, care management, and resource allocation while adhering to JCAHO, federal, and state regulations.
- Engage in direct patient care when necessary, dedicating remaining time to leadership roles and scheduling tasks.
- Collaborate with fellow leaders to optimize staff and resources for both scheduled and emergency angiographic procedures.
- Serve as a vital resource for Cath Lab staff, fostering teamwork and ensuring top-tier patient care.
- Maintain communication with physicians and hospital staff, always prioritizing patient care.
- Assist leadership in ensuring competent staffing and supporting overall patient care, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.
Essential Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program or accredited radiology technician program.Registered Nurse with current state licensure, or Radiology Technician with current ARRT and MS State Radiologic Technology Board certifications, or Registered Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist (RCIS).Current BLS certification.ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment for registered nurses.Key Responsibilities Include :
Actively participate in patient care while overseeing related services.Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, collaborating with department leaders.Educate patients and families on post-discharge care while assessing their readiness to learn.Ensure patient equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.Contribute to performance improvement initiatives targeting patient, physician, and staff satisfaction.Monitor staff performance and quality indicators to uphold compliance with standards.Apply knowledge of growth and development to deliver tailored care to various patient populations.Maintain a commitment to personal professional growth and development.Foster a safe and comforting environment for patients, maintaining confidentiality and following universal precautions.Contribute to departmental operations, engage in projects aligning with the hospital’s mission, and embody the organization’s values.Assist in selecting equipment and supplies to optimize quality and cost efficiency.Communicate effectively with staff and leadership about administrative issues and follow-up as necessary.Support staffing needs and optimize staff scheduling on a daily basis.Encourage a multi-skilled work environment through staff cross-training initiatives.Guide staff in resolving challenges and fostering professional collaboration.Participate in recruitment activities to ensure competent staff acquisition.Address any issues of harassment and discrimination in line with company policy.Delegate tasks appropriately following established job descriptions and standards of practice.Utilize resources efficiently and cost-effectively, while engaging in peer review and contributing to the development of staff and students.Maintain a strong sense of teamwork and interdepartmental collaboration.Involve actively in performance improvement and utilization review efforts.Guide and support staff in coordinating unit operations effectively.
