Job description

Position : Registered Nurse (RN) - Internal Float Pool

Shift : 3rd

Full / Part Time : Full Time

Pay Range : $37.50 - $56.25

Location : Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215

    • Schedule Details :

  • Self-Scheduled
  • Shift : 3rd Shift (7 PM - 7 : 30 AM)
  • FTE : 0.9 (12-hour shifts)
  • Schedule Requirement : 2 Mondays & 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule
  • Weekend Requirement : 1 weekend per 6-week schedule
  • Holiday Requirement : 2 holidays (1 summer & 1 winter)

    • Position Overview :

    As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work across various units including ED Boarding, Med / Surg, Telemetry, and ICU support, providing a dynamic work experience that fosters both challenge and professional growth.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Float between Med / Surg, Telemetry, ED Boarding, and ICU units.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.
  • Quickly adapt to different unit workflows while maintaining clinical excellence.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience : Minimum of 18 months in Med / Surg or Telemetry RN (2 years preferred).
  • Flexibility : Must meet the following schedule : 2 Fridays, 2 Mondays, and 1 weekend every 6 weeks.

    • Training & Skills :

  • Receive training in :
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (Stroke Scale)
  • IV Ultrasound
  • Charge Nurse cross-training to enhance leadership skills.

    Licenses & Certifications :

  • Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

    • Education :

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.

    • Experience :

  • Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

    • Skills & Abilities :

  • Strong patient care focus and ability to manage clinical situations effectively.
  • Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration and team-building aptitude.
