This food service position is part-time and will be required to work two weekends on and one weekend off. Where scheduling allows, you may work every other weekend.
The pay rate is between $17.00 - $17.50 per hour.
Hours vary between 7am and 7pm. Some nights you may be required to stay until 8pm the latest.

Responsibilities
Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as requiredServes meals in the main kitchenAssists with meal service set up in the main kitchen. Clearing tables, washing dishes, and cleaning tables on various resident care floors.Transports hot and cold foods to and from the main kitchen to the resident care areasTransports all required non-food items to and from the health center pantries and resident care areasWashes silver, glass, china in dish machine in main kitchen as per regulationProvides floor stock, snacks and supplements per diet ordersMaintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines in dining roomsMaintains work stations in clean, organized, and in proper orderTakes order, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteouslyClears dishes from tables during and after meal serviceAnswers pertinent questions about menu itemsEnsures that meal tray accurately matches the meal ticketMaintains kosher regulations and requirements as per policyQualifications
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversionsPrevious experience in nursing home food service preferred, but not requiredAbility to plan, organize and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standardsAbility to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.
