JOB SUMMARY / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : The Associate Director of Student Counseling Services is the administrative leader of student counseling, responsible for leadership, administration, consultation and supervision of the counseling, including counselors, and serves as a liaison to the campus, as well as community mental health programs. This position also provides counseling to UT Health Science Center students, provides crisis response intervention (both to individual students and campus-wide crises) in collaboration with the CARE Team, and provides consultation to students, staff, and faculty as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
EDUCATION : Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE : Five (5) years of experience with at least two (2) years in a college campus counseling environment; OR Bachelor’s Degree and seven (7) years of experience with at least two (2) years in a college campus counseling environment.
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION : Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider (LPC / MHSP), Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Professional (LCP), or equivalent in the State of Tennessee or license eligible. (COPY OF LICENSE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED)
