Athletic Trainer - Per Diem

Responsibilities :

The per diem Athletic Trainer is directly responsible to the Director of Athletics.

Summary :

To provide care and prevention of athletic injuries including therapeutic rehabilitation to allow for the least loss of competitive time, while keeping the mental and physical welfare of the athlete as the top priority.

General Duties :

  • Responsible for pregame / pre practice taping ( arrive 45 min before contest)
  • Responsible for on site game treatment and reporting to Athletic trainer for follow up
  • Responsible for post game treatment and on site reporting to coach
  • Determines if a player is capable of continued participation in a game and / or practice, if the player is injured.

Qualifications :

  • Certified - Commonwealth of Massachusetts Allied Health Professions / Licensed Athletic Trainer
  • Certified - NATA BOC
  • Athletic Trainer experience preferred
  • Previous successful playing and / or coaching; experience working with adolescents.
  • Current CPR, First Aid Certification, completion of the MIAA Coaches Education Class and other requirements by the MIAA.
