Pay Range - $21 / hr on W2
Overview :
The PSR I is the face of the company for patients seeking routine health tests or important diagnostic information. This role involves skillfully drawing blood samples and preparing them for laboratory testing while maintaining a safe, professional, and patient-centered environment. The PSR I ensures patient trust by clearly explaining procedures and performing collections accurately and compassionately. The role also requires adherence to confidentiality, accuracy standards, and company Leadership Behaviors.
Key Responsibilities :
Patient Interaction & Specimen Collection :
- Draw high-quality blood samples from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort, trust, and understanding.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
Operational Duties :
Perform daily tasks accurately and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor.Maintain required documentation, records, and specimen integrity.Prepare specimens for lab testing according to protocols.Work Environment & Professionalism :
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional workspace.Uphold patient confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.Promote a positive and professional image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal on-site supervision.Job Requirements :
Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.Ability to work independently.Flexibility with scheduling , including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.Keyboard / data entry proficiency.Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required .Work Experience :
Minimum 6 months phlebotomy or related experience required.
